Information & Character Serve the wine around 16-20 degrees. Perfect companion to cold cuts and cheeses, as well as tasty stews with light meat. Expressive aromatic of black and red berries such as red currants, blackberries. The taste is subtle, adding an elegant minerality to the pleasantly fruity character. The body is medium-full, structured and with a creamy consistency. Smooth tannins and a long, lovely finish. You can feel black fruits such as blackberries, black currants and cherries as well as aromas of oak and pepper. On the palate, dry, medium acidity and strongly full-bodied. Aromas of cherry and pepper are very strong.

Production The must fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

About the Producer

Chateau Clos has gone from clarity to clarity in recent years and is now a wine with both complexity and the round soft fruit of Saint-Emilion. The vineyard is planted with 70 percent Merlot 25 percent Cabernet Franc and 5 percent Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine has been stored mostly in concrete and stainless steel tanks and only receives a short storage of a few months in about 30% oak barrels.
