Information & Character Château Les Hauts Conseillants Lalande de Pomerol by Jean-Baptiste Audy is a charming cherry red. The wine evokes memories of black and red currants, as well as strawberries and raspberries. On the palate, wonderful roasted coffee aromas emerge, supported by plums and garden herbs. A flavorful and complex red wine with good aging potential. Elegant, soft, fresh and aromas of plums. Medium-bodied and fruity, with a recognizable taste of plums and a finish of chocolate mint.

Production The must fermented in temperature-controlled cement tanks and then in French oak barrels for 15 months.

About the Producer

Château les Hauts Conseillants is the dream of a persistent man. In 1973, Leopold Figeac decided to restore this 4-hectare estate located in Lalande de Pomerol. Later, he bought another 6 hectares together with his daughter and son-in-law, and today the domain is run by his grandson Jean Baptiste Bourott. All his efforts have proven to be justified as Les Hauts Conseillants is now well regarded within the appellation. The Figeac-Bourott family also owns Chateau Bonalque, Clos du Clocher and Chateau du Courlat.
