Information & Character Côtes du Rhône is located in southeastern France and is both the collective name for all wines grown along the slopes of the Rhône Valley and a so-called AOC, Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée. In the north, less than five percent of the total production is grown with more expensive and elegant wines based on Syrah. In the south, fuller and more powerful wines with Grenache dominate. Spicy, fruity aroma with hints of wild raspberries, violets, blackberries, white pepper and bay leaves. Spicy taste with hints of wild raspberries, violets, blueberries, blackberries and bay leaves.

Production The must fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

About the Producer

The Gabart-Laval winery is owned by Jean-Baptiste Audy and stands behind what guarantees quality. Jean-Baptiste AUDY is a family-owned company that has been in the wine industry for a long time. In 1906, Jean-Baptiste AUDY himself settled in Libourne where he opened a wine trading company along the Dordogne River at the famous Quai du Priourat. He acted as a distributor for all the top wines in Brodeaux, and particularly preferred wines with the Pomerol designation. Soon the family owned several vineyards, including Clos du Clocher, Courlat, Clinet, Bonalgue and La Cabanne, and the company increasingly took its place in the small circle of distributors of Bordeaux wines. In their century-old wine cellar on the Quai du Priourat there are several million bottles.
