Information & Character Chablis is the northernmost wine-growing region in Burgundy. It is actually closer to Champagne than much of the rest of Burgundy, as it is separated by the Morvan hills. Chablis produces dry white wines made from Chardonnay, and is situated on ancient Jurassic soils that give the wines mineral and flinty accents. Complex notes of white flowers, citrus and a mineral finish. Delicate and elegant, balanced aromas of flowers and minerality.

Production The must ferments in stainless steel tanks and a small portion in oak barrels, for 18 months.

About the Producer

The Besson family has been in Chablis since the beginning of the 20th century. The appellation of the same name is located in northern Burgundy, between the towns of Auxerre and Tonnerre. Eugène Besson planted the first vines in 1902. Since then, Domaine Besson, which has carried this name since 1985, has also bottled its own wines.
