Information & Character It is not a barrel wine in the first place, but 15 - 20 days of fermentation in concrete tanks, then the wine is aged for 6 months in tanks and a further 3 months in the bottle. The concrete allows for the retention of fruit, acidity and minerality without the vanilla/roasted character that oak can easily give. What makes Teia a little different is the combination of the warm Bolgheri climate + the natural saltiness/acidity of Vermentino + the ripe fruitiness of Viognier. The result is likely to be fuller and more sun-ripened. The aroma offers floral notes of chamomile, citrus peel, ripe yellow peach, hints of rosemary and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate it expresses a mild and refreshing acidity combined with a subtle minerality in the finish. 20 days of fermentation in concrete tanks, then the wine is aged for 6 months in tanks and a further 3 months in the bottle.

About the Producer
Villanoviana was born from the passion for good wine and the love for this area of Tuscany, from our desire to return to the roots of our culture and cultivate our land in an environmentally responsible way. That is why we use only natural methods in the vineyard, such as the Bokashi method, which is unique here in Bolgheri. The proximity to the sea and the perfect sun exposure give the wines a mineral character and a fresh acidity that fully respects the unique characteristics of our terroir. Marco and Barbara are Tuscan by adoption and with Emilian roots and also married.
