Information & Character Classic grape blend, made from the local grapes Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara – typical of Bardolino wines. Light, fruity style with flavors of cherries, strawberries and sometimes a little spiciness (white pepper) – a soft and fresh red wine. Low alcohol and easy to drink. Around 12–12.5% alcohol, with fresh acidity → perfect for pasta, pizza or lighter dishes. Best drunk slightly chilled around 16-18 degrees. Intense aroma of small red berries such as cherries & violets. Fresh, fruity taste with a long light almond note in the finish.
Production 10-15 days of fermentation and skin maceration at 25-30 degrees in steel tanks.
Soil Lime and clay-rich soil and to some extent sand.
Goes with Perfect with pizza, pasta, white meat and charcuterie.
About the Producer
Owned by the Piona family, who have owned the land since the early 1900s. Located in the Veneto district, near Lake Garda and consists of about 50 hectares of wine-growing land. Started by Luciano Piona, his son Franco is the current owner together with his family where his son Franceso is also involved. Cavalchina was the first to use the name "Custoza" on cin in 1962 and this contributed greatly to the creation of the Custoza DOC wine area and the family are, in short, pioneers for the entire Custoza region.
