Information & Character Vineyard in Settevie, Treiso, southwest location at approximately 300 meters altitude. Aged 12–15 months in barriques and tonneaux. The style is dry, medium-bodied to full-bodied, good acidity and clear but quite elegant tannins. Flavors of raspberry, cherry and dark fruit, along with earthy/herbal notes and some barrel, leather and spice. The producer recommends approximately 2–6 years after vintage, although it can be aged longer. Rich aromas of rose, violet and red fruits. Dry, harmonious, persistent on the palate, elegant tannins.

Production Maceration on the skins, temperature-controlled fermentation, malolactic fermentation.

Soil Lime and clay-rich soil and to some extent sand.

Pairs with Perfect with red meat, game, aged cheeses, rich pasta dishes and mushrooms.

About the Producer

Orlando Abrigo is a family-owned quality producer in Treiso, in the middle of the Langhe area just outside Alba and in the heart of Barbaresco. The family has worked with wine for generations, and Giovanni Abrigo runs the business today. Above all, Barbaresco – their most important wines come from the Rongalio, Meruzzano and Montersino locations, among others. They have around 20 hectares of vineyards, with Nebbiolo at the center but also Barbera, Dolcetto and white grapes. The winery was built in 2013 and is modernly integrated into the landscape, with a focus on both tradition and gentle winemaking.
