Information & Character Imeneo was the son of Bacchus and Venus and was the god of weddings and the protector of couples. This is Bolgheri Rosso by Villanoviana: separate vinification for Merlot and Cabernet Franc (60-40 proportions) in concrete tanks, aging in French oak barrels for 10 months and 6 months in bottle. Here the territory begins to become known for its tactful pace and rhythm: red and black fruits at maturity, toasted nuances, spicy notes of black pepper and mace make up the aromatic spectrum. The palate is dynamic, straight, determined and full of personality. Dark and intense ruby red in color, the wine exhibits aromas of blackberries, red currants, herbal notes and sweet spices. A smooth taste on the palate, with elegant velvety tannins, an acidity that is well integrated with the body of the wine with a long elegant finish.

Production 25-30 days of fermentation in concrete tanks, then the wine is aged for 10 months in tanks and another 6 months in bottle.

Soil Limestone, schist, clay and volcanic soil.

About the Producer

Villanoviana was born from the passion for good wine and the love for this area of Tuscany, from our desire to return to the roots of our culture and cultivate our land in an environmentally responsible way. That is why we use only natural methods in the vineyard, such as the Bokashi method, which is unique here in Bolgheri. The proximity to the sea and the perfect sun exposure give the wines a mineral character and a fresh acidity that fully respects the unique characteristics of our terroir. Marco and Barbara are Tuscan by adoption and with Emilian roots and also married.
