Information & Character Sant'Uberto is not only the name of the town where the company is located, but also the name of the label for Bolgheri Superiore with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot (50-35-15%). The theme of separate vinifications for each grape variety in concrete is renewed, with 14 months of aging in barrel and a year in bottle before being released on the market. The result is a glass with great presence and self-confidence, it is a wine clearly with its chin up, very expressive, all focused on dark spicy details, notes of smokiness, soot and macerated fruit. Intense ruby red, fruity aromas of cherry and plum, spicy notes of black pepper and nutmeg. The fruit follows on the complex palate that combines ripe and silky tannins and a pleasant finish with a hint of chocolate and light tobacco.

Production 25-30 days of fermentation then second fermentation in 225 liter oak barrels for 14 months and another 12 months in bottle.

About the Producer

Villanoviana was born from the passion for good wine and the love for this area of Tuscany, from our desire to return to the roots of our culture and cultivate our land in an environmentally responsible way. That is why we use only natural methods in the vineyard, such as the Bokashi method, which is unique here in Bolgheri. The proximity to the sea and the perfect sun exposure give the wines a mineral character and a fresh acidity that fully respects the unique characteristics of our terroir. Marco and Barbara are Tuscan by adoption and with Emilian roots and also married.
