Information & Character Created from selected grapes with modern winemaking techniques, this is a full-bodied wine, with an intense aroma of red fruits and a smooth and velvety taste. The wine is the perfect choice for daily consumption. Manual harvest and selection of grapes. Can easily be aged for 15-20 years. Ripe attractive fruit aroma and a well-structured and soft bouquet and a persistent and elegant finish. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.

Production takes place at temperature control at 25 ºC and then 2 weeks of maceration.

Soil Granite, slate, marble, limestone and on a layer of clay.

Goes with Perfect with pasta, grilled meat, cheese and charcuterie.

About the Producer

Lima Mayer wines are produced at Quinta de São Sebastião in Monforte, which was part of one of the most traditional and prestigious agricultural houses in Alto Alentejo, belonging to the Marquês da Praia and Monforte. The winery is run by Thomaz de Lima Mayer and his family, started as a family project with passion and commitment to producing a high quality wine. Here, the 600-hectare estate is located in a belt of gently rolling granite landscape mostly given over to native forests of Mediterranean cork and holm oak and bred by purebred Alentejo cattle. The hermitage, the estate is bordered by two rivers, the Almuro and the Leca, which in addition to being an important natural resource contribute to the beauty of the land.
