Information & Character The Albarino wine Mar de Viñas is produced with selected Albarino grapes from our growers using our traditional growing techniques and the vineyards are over 25 years old. After a manual harvest, the grapes are selected and a soft pressing takes place before being filtered for 24 to 36 hours and followed by fermentation at 22°C. Medium intensity, tropical notes, pineapple, passion fruit, melon and floral, jasmine, orange blossom. Fresh in the mouth, white fruit, apple, banana and citrus. Very balanced.

Production The wine is cold macerated with skin contact for 20 hours before pressing and is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Soil Sand and granite soil

Pairs with Perfect with Asian food, white and red meat, or just to be enjoyed on its own. Serve between 15-17 degrees.

About the Producer

The Piñeiro family has been growing wine in vineyards for generations. They started their vineyards on very small farms but gradually reorganized and replaced the original grape varieties with Albarino grapes. Slowly but also persistently, their grandparents continued to grow Albarino grapes on small plots of land across the Rias Baixas region. Adegas Gran Vinum was created in 2002 to continue in the traditional family style. The exceptional location of the vineyard on slopes overlooking the Umia River and the Ria de Arosa near Cambados in Pontevedra, Galicia is excellent for growing the Albarino grape.
