Information & Character The grapes used to make Fenomeno Blanco come from vineyards they work with: 150 hectares owned by the winery and 600 hectares controlled by their agricultural technical department. After the harvest is completed and the grapes are transported to the winery, the grapes macerate for 3 days in a cold controlled temperature of 5ºC. After this, fermentation takes place at 15ºC, during which daily batoning takes place to facilitate the process. Before bottling the wine is topped up to give it more personality. The wine stands out for its intense fruity aromas. Fresh, elegant with floral notes and a long finish. Well balanced, with a tasty acidic note, floral in the aftertaste.

Production The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged only in steel tanks.

Soil Calcareous clay soils

Goes with Perfect with fish, seafood, vegetables and grilled white meat.

About the Producer

The history of Bodegas Barahonda begins around 1850, when Pedro Candela Soriano began producing and selling small quantities of wine locally until Antonio Candela García, in 1925, founded a small winery. It was then taken over by his son, Antonio Candela Poveda, who made it grow and develop over the years. With the need to create higher quality wines, Bodegas Barahonda was founded in 2006, currently run by Antonio and Alfredo, the fourth generation of the Candela family. From the small wine exploitation to the modern winery that produces quality wines appreciated in international markets, four generations have passed on the knowledge and tradition from father to son.
