Information & Character The vineyards have about 25-year-old vines planted in gravelly and calcareous soils, particularly rich in calcium and magnesium – typical of the region's terroir. Light straw yellow with green reflections, clear and radiant. Intense and complex, with floral notes plus fruity tones of green apple and pear, as well as herbal. Elegant, fresh and soft with lively acidity and a characteristic bitterness in the aftertaste, typical of Verdejo . Elegant, fresh and full-bodied. It has a crisp acidity and a characteristic final bitterness, typical of Verdejo.

Production takes place at low temperature in stainless steel tanks.

About the Producer

Bodega La Soterraña is the result of an ambitious project by several friends, unconditional wine lovers with many years of experience in the sector, oenologists, winegrowers. Their passion for wine – and the Verdejo variety in particular – led them to follow a whim: to develop a white Verdejo wine within the Rueda Designation of Origin, solely for its quality and distinction. For this purpose, Bodega la Soterraña was founded in 2006 in the town of Olmedo, a traditional region for kings and knights in Spain and a quality wine-growing area par excellence within the Designation of Origin.
