Information & Character Luzón Dulce begins its journey with a late manual harvest, which we carry out at the end of September on our plot in Los Cerrillares (Jumilla), when the bunches have undergone the shaking process, which allows the grapes to achieve the maximum concentration of sugars and flavors in each of them. After the harvest, the grapes are destemmed and pressed to obtain the must, which is then transferred to steel tanks where it undergoes alcoholic fermentation for 12 days. After this time, the must will be transferred to French oak barrels for aging for 8-10 months, at which time we will have obtained its maximum expression. Sold in a 50cl bottle. Deeply aromatic and with great complexity of aromas, where notes of honey and quince, vanilla, caramel and orange peel stand out. Mildly expressive and with notes typical of the variety, spices, pepper and orange blossom
Production The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged only in steel tanks.
Soil: Calcareous soils with lots of stone
Suitable for Is an excellent dessert.
About the Producer
Bodega Luzon is one of the largest producers and exporters of DOP Jumilla wine since it was founded by Don José de Molina. He was a commander of the royal armies stationed in the Philippines and decided to return to his homeland of Jumilla after finishing his military career, naming his property "Finca Luzón" in honor of the island where he spent so much time and which always remained in his life. Since 1966, DOP Jumilla. has become one of the oldest designations of origin in Spain
