Information & Character This wine comes from their Castillo de Madax vineyard, a 120 hectare site planted on sandy soils over a limestone base at an altitude of 700 metres. Grapes are separated immediately from the stalk after a light pressing, the free-flowing juice is clarified to ferment for a period of 15-20 days at a controlled temperature between 10-16°c. Aromas of ripe blackberries and plums, intertwined with hints of black pepper and subtle oak. On the palate it develops with layers of delicious dark fruit, velvety tannins and a lingering finish.
Production The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged only in steel tanks.

About the Producer
Bodega Luzon is one of the largest producers and exporters of DOP Jumilla wine since it was founded by Don José de Molina. He was a commander of the royal armies stationed in the Philippines and decided to return to his homeland of Jumilla after finishing his military career, naming his property "Finca Luzón" in honor of the island where he spent so much time and which always remained in his life. Since 1966, DOP Jumilla. has become one of the oldest designations of origin in Spain
