Information & Character Original Dr. Nielsen Bitter is an extract of eight different herbs, including Pomeranian and star anise. It is characterized by a mild, characteristic and pleasant taste and a refined, perfectly balanced aftertaste. This unique taste reflects all the herbs used.

Suitable for Dr Nielsen Bitter can be enjoyed at room temperature as a warming dram in cold weather or simply with a beer.

About the Producer

Dr. Nielsen was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, who until 1937 lived in a side wing of Hobro Apotek, where he, together with his good friends, the pharmacist family, put a lot of work into finding “the right bitter”. Many evenings were spent before one day in the otherwise dark 30s brightened – a versatile bitter with many uses had been found! In 1988, Dr. Nielsen's family recipe was passed on and the Johs. M. Klein Distribution A/S wine cellar completed the work
