Information & Character "The Spätlese" - the late harvest wines - that grow in the "Johannisberg Vogelsang" are characterized by the taste of passion fruit and pear. Due to a rather slow fermentation, the Riesling and Weißburgunder develop into a fruity, harmonious, sparkling and elegant taste. Fresh and moist aroma of mirabelle plums, passion fruit and tamarillo. The taste is elegant with hints of plum and exotic fruit with a fresh tone of passion fruit and mineral.

Production After fermentation is complete, the wine undergoes maturation on its lees.

Soil Lime-rich soil

Perfect as a companion wine, but also with vegetarian dishes as well as poultry, seafood and pork dishes.

Trenz has been practicing for more than 340 years...which you can taste! Fine wines require the winemaker's commitment and willingness to explore new paths. Due to diligent care of the vineyards and correctly pruned vines, the extract and weight of the must are higher. A late and selective grape harvest by hand and a delicate compression of the grapes optimize the must. By using the most modern techniques while working in the wine cellar and allowing a slow cold fermentation, they produce fresh, fruity and rich high-quality wines.
